I might be getting a job soon...

You saw the title, folks. I'm getting a job...well maybe.

My mom's fiancé, Jesse, has a friend named Julie who works at Chunky's, a movie theater-slash-pub. So she is trying to get me a job at Chunky's as a greeter, which seems interesting to me. So yeah...

Also, because of this and my high hopes of getting the job, I'm taking a break from the Mike episode I was working on, and am in process of making a short movie etiquette PSA featuring the Mike & Friends characters. It's gonna be less than a minute, I would hope.

But that doesn't mean the Mike episode 'Break a Leg!' would be cancelled. I'm only pausing production for a day or so to work on this.

Thanks for understanding.

UPDATE (7/29/2019): Change of plans, I'll be working on 'Break a Leg!' first, then the movie etiquette short.

New Updates!

Michael here with an update post!

First up, I'm sorry that you guys didn't get a new Mike comic yesterday. I just changed the schedule for my comics. From now on, new Mike comics will be published every 2 weeks. I just need time to work on something in which I'll tell you about soon. I hope you understand about this.

Second, the first Mike & Friends episode 'Mike's Lagoon' is finished and is now uploaded on my new YouTube channel. That's right, I have a new YouTube channel now. So go subscribe to it and hit the bell icon to be notified about my latest videos. I'll be not only uploading Mike & Friends content on my channel, but I'll do more videos as well. Not telling what it is yet but you'll see. Also the link is right here:
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwiaheLxuNXjAhUETN8KHY7gAZ0QFjABegQIAxAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fchannel%2FUCqpPwp5NtuXVX1PMtfPuIew&usg=AOvVaw1HS0rpnmK8w3c__YWcEqVl
(or if you're on YouTube, just type in 'Michael Pakenham' and you'll see my channel listed on it, and possibly the cartoon I've uploaded (or the only video I've uploaded so far). Also, yes, I know the video looks pretty bad and cheaply made, but that's how the series is structured. It's just that I don't have the money for expensive animation software and video editing software yet and I'm hoping to get it soon. And it looks like an animatic and a comic mixed together! My mother is also monitoring the channel because she wants me to be safe on YouTube and because she cares! :)

Third and final thing is that a new Mike & Friends episode is in the works! The episode is titled 'Break a Leg!' and it is about Mike breaking his leg, thanks to Connor, and Mike has to be nursed by Connor. Here's the title card as a teaser!

Anyway, that's all! Till next time!

The first ever Mike & Friends cartoon is coming soon...

You've seen the title of this post, folks!

I'm in production of a comic/animatic styled cartoon series based on my comics known as "Mike & Friends". That's right! I'm not gonna type it again! A cartoon series is happening!

And the first toon is going to be titled 'Mike's Lagoon', which the aforementioned title is a parody of Jacob Lenard's cartoon series, 'Pike's Lagoon', property of Lenstar Productions. Speaking of 'Pike's Lagoon', you might expect a little cameo of a couple of the characters from said show in this cartoon (and you'll see SpongeBob and friends as well, property of Hillenburg, Nick, and Via-can of rotten beans!)

Also, 'Mike's Lagoon' is about Mike, his parents, and his friends going to the beach on a hot, summer day. When Mike encounters Missy and Ashley there, they go surfing, and Mike drowns underwater. I explained enough!

Production of the cartoon is halfway done, and to celebrate, here's a couple pictures of the cartoon's production!

There we go! Anyway, expect this cartoon to be complete by August, and I haven't planned a release date. See ya, guys!

Comic #66: Summer Camp Adventures Part 3

Finally, after a two-week hiatus, a new Mike strip is finally uploaded! Sorry if it took that long. In case you were wondering, read the previous post below.

What Happened to the Mike & Friends Summer Camp Comics?

Hey, guys. Just in case everybody was wondering why I haven't a new Mike comic strip this Friday like I promised, I'll tell you why. In case everyone forgot, the summer camp arc is still going on in the comic strip series. But the thing is, I ran out of ideas for summer camp strips. So I have two options for this problem:
Option #1 - Put the strip series on hiatus until I think of new ideas for summer camp strips.
Or...
Option #2 - Cancel the summer camp arc and think of ideas for other strips.
What do you guys think I should do? Let me know in the comments, okay?
See ya!

Special Birthday Wishes to Tom Kenny!

Happy Birthday to one of my favorite and influential voice actors ever, Tom Kenny (the voices of SpongeBob, Gary, French Narrator, Mayor of Townsville, Ice King, Dingle, Heffer, etc.).
Tom always is one of my favorite voice actors ever. I always thought of him voicing Mike Mormon (my original character from Mike & Friends) and Burg the Cheeseburger (another original character of mine from my other show, Fast Food).
My favorite characters he has played/voiced were SpongeBob, Gary, Frenchy, Patchy the Pirate, Dingle Kringle (from Elf Bowling: The Movie, in case you all are wondering), and Heffer (from Rocko's Modern Life).
I hope he has a wonderful birthday today, and keeps making everybody entertained with all of his amazing voice talents.
